What’s he doing? At ten months he’ll imitate the behaviour of people around him and may be able to string different actions together. He likes being around other babies and children – as long as he’s the centre of attention!

How can he communicate? Your baby is learning to follow your gaze when you look at something. He’s turning into a little prima donna too - banging his spoon when he wants dinner.

How you can help Look at the person or object you’re talking about so he learns to recognise different things.
