What’s he doing? At two months, your baby's eyes work together, he’s focusing better and can see out the corners of his eyes. He can recognise you by sight now (he knew you by smell from the day he was born) but he won’t remember you when you’re not there. By the end of the month he’ll be kicking his legs and waving his arms when he gets excited – the movement is preparing him for walking. How can he communicate? He’s started to make other noises besides crying, like cooing and gurgling, and he smiles when he’s awake now too. How you can help Encourage him to move around by giving him some time out of nappies so he can feel the air on his skin. Carry him, talk and sing to him and give him lots of different scenery to look at to keep him stimulated.
