Tired
but
happy
!
Earlier this year, HiPP Organic conducted a survey on baby’s sleep (or lack of!). Over 1000 of you took part. You told us...
Thankfully, you’re not concerned about your baby’s sleep habits (just 6% are “very concerned”).
This despite 63% of babies waking at least once during the night, and over 7% waking four or more times.
You remain happy mummies and daddies, despite the exhaustion! 83% say lack of sleep has affected your happiness either “slightly”, or “not at all”!
Routine is king
86% of you follow a regular bedtime routine for your baby. The most popular sleep aids are in order:
A bedtime milk feed
A dummy or soother
A relaxing bubble bath
Nearly 10% of you have used special milk drinks – such as
HiPP Organic Good Night Milk Drink
- to aid your baby’s sleep
Thankfully just 1% of you resort to driving your baby around in your car to get them to nod off!
No thanks Mum!
For baby’s sleep advice, most of you turn to magazines (77%), friends (74%) and the internet (73%); whilst our more traditional sources of advice such as parents are less popular with 20% not using their mums’ advice; and 25% saying their partner is not useful as a source of advice on sleep. Only 10% of you found gurus such as Gina Ford “very useful”.
