How to make Flower Fairies' lavender scented sachets

You will need:

Scraps of fabric such as cotton or silk
Ruler
Pinking shears
Fabric glue
Paintbrush
Teaspoon
Lavender seeds
Ribbon
Buttons to decorate

1.  Use pinking shears to cut your fabric into a rectangular strip, 8 cm wide and 24 cm long.

2.  On the prettiest side of the fabric, paint a thin strip of fabric glue down each long edge.

3.  Carefully fold the fabric in half, pressing the long side edges together, and leave the glue to dry.

4.  Turn the fabric inside out. Gently push the handle of a teaspoon into the corners to neaten the shape.

5. Fill your bag with lavender seeds, leaving around 4 cm of fabric free at the top of the bag.

6. When the bag is nearly full, tie a pretty ribbon in a bow tightly around its neck and place the bag in your clothes drawers, or under your pillow.

Lavender’s craft tip
If you have any lavender growing in your garden, you can
gather the seeds yourself. Pick the lavender heads when in
full bloom, leave the heads to dry, then remove the scented seeds.
