Emma reviews the Smart Stages Swing

By askamum

Fisher-Price's Smart Stages 3-IN-1 Swing ‘N Rocker, £109.99, is three products in one. With an open-top swing, infant seat and toddler rocker, it plays five songs and has a removable toy bar for baby play. Our mum tester Emma tried it out with her newborn Isabel. This is what she thought:

Was over the moon when we got a swing to review, never had one with Ollie and always wanted to try one!

It’s a lovely looking unisex swing/chair in blues, greens and creams with a detachable toy bar with two cute birds. The swing easily converts into an infant seat (by lifting the seat off the swing frame) and a toddler rocker. The swing has two swinging speeds, and plays music.

I am surprised you can use this from birth as there is no additional head support for a newborn. Isabel has always had good head control and we got the swing at six weeks so this was not a problem for us.Izzy loves looking at the birds on the bar, but it’s a shame they don’t rattle or anything. If she falls asleep I can easily move her from room to room by lifting the seat off the swing.

It is great knowing Isabel is save and occupied whilst I shower or cook dinner. In swing mode it is quite big, but the swing frame does fold down for storage. The quality of the music could be better as I feel this lets the swing down. My 2yr old son uses it in toddler seat mode. So we get so much use out of this chair already. This swing/chair will be used for years!
