Natal hypnotherapy
I used the birthing in hospital CD before my labour (baby boy born 4th Feb 08) and found it very helpful. I must admit I was very sceptical before but was willing to give anything a go to help with the pain! I listened to the CD about a dozen times before the birth and only had gas and air throughout my labour. The midwife did comment after I delivered that when I came into hospital I was very calm and very calm throughout. Also, for a first baby my labour was pretty short, totalling around 10 hrs. I felt the CD helped as during the pain I kept remembering the suggestions from the CD which made me relax and let me body do the work. I've just lent the CD to my friend and would recommend it - for me, I felt it really helped and would definitely recommend giving it a try. Wendy
