Video: Winding

If you're having problems winding your baby then this video will help, with expert advice from other mums just like you.

How Best to Wind Your Baby

After feeding your baby will need to be winded to get rid of any air that might have been swallowed. This is done by massaging the back to ease the wind upwards, but many women hold their babies in differend positions. If your baby sounds as if she is in pain, check her over for any obvious signs that may be causing her distress. She may have a bout of wind, so placing her face down along your forearm and firmly but gently massaging her back will help calm her. You could also try propping her over your shoulder and massaging her back in circular movements to bring up the wind.
