Bring your inner glow out with these gorgeous products which are sure to revive even the most stressed out and tired mummy. How to get a healthy glowA healthy skin is one that looks bright and clear, but sleep deprivation can dull your epidermis.
To add radiance, look for products containing ingredients such as witch hazel and pro-vitamin B5, which sweep away lackluster cells and even out skintone.
Best Buys: Boots Tea Tree + Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash, £3.42, followed by a splash of ice-cold water to tighten pores, and Botanics Skin Brightening Toner, £3.91 (Boots).
For moisture with added luminosity, Olay Complete Care Multi-Radiance Fluid, £7.49, contains light-reflective particles that give skin a natural glow.
Top Tip: For an added boost before a big event or party, apply a face mask containing white clay such as Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask, £11.50 (01983813913), to leave skin instantly brighter.
How to stop puffy eyesUnder-eye bags, fine lines, puffiness and discolouration are all signs that you could do with catching some zzz’s, but you can conceal the problem.
Eye gels that contain antioxidants such as vitamin C and ginkgo biloba are great for relieving signs of fatigue with their tightening and smoothing effect.
And to conceal dark bags, choose a creamy formula and gently dab on with your ring finger to gradually build up coverage.
Best Buys: No7 Time Resisting Day & Night Eye Care, £17.75 (Boots), contains both a refreshing, lifting eye gel for day, and a nourishing eye cream for night.
When choosing concealer, shades with peachy rather than yellow undertones are better at covering the blue tinge in under-eye bags - MAC Select MoistureCover, £11.26 (08700342676), comes in 15 skin-mimicking shades.
Top Tip: Apply a little of your under-eye cream to the lines around your mouth and forehead to help tackle unwanted wrinkles.
Make-up miraclesRedness, shine and spots all make your skin look weathered and in need of some TLC, but are easily remedied.
Apply an easy-to-blend stick foundation only where you need it (usually around the nose and over spots) to keep the look natural.
Follow with a double-duty lip and cheek stain for a flush of healthy-looking colour, and a dusting of the sheerest powder you can find - not only will it mop up shine, but it softens the look of wrinkles too.
Finish with a little eyeshadow and two coats of curling and thickening mascara to make you look wide awake.
Best buys: Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick, £23.49, blends seamlessly and comes in 17 shades; The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain in Rose Pink, £9.25, is long-lasting and sheer; Clinique Blended Face Powder in Invisible Blend, £18.50, is ultra-lightweight and blurs lines; and Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara, £19.50, magnifies even the shortest lashes.
Top Tip: Dark eyeshadows make tired eyes look sunken, so choose natural, eye-opening shades such as beige, vanilla and sand.
