Best toys of 2010 revealed

The best new toys of 2010 were today announced at the annual UK Toy Fair.

From a jolly octopus to super speedy roller skates and a pizza oven, 34 new toys were revealed as the best buys for 2010.

The Toy Fair Best New Toys 2010 was voted across 11 categories by a panel of expert toy retailers.

British Toy & Hobby Association Fairs and Events Manager Simon Pilling said: “With so much to see, the question on everyone’s lips is always ‘which will be on Santa’s shopping list at Christmas?’ Well, the Toy Fair Best New Toys 2010 aim to answer that very question by inviting a panel of independent toy retailers to highlight the products most likely to be massive in 2010.”

The thousands of new toys, games and hobbies were launched by 180 exhibitors at the 57th UK Toy Fair at the Grand Hall, Olympia in London.

Toy giant Hasbro had three products in the best toy list along with UK companies Vivid Imaginations and Flair Leisure Products who also celebrated three.

Also recommended across the categories were popular brands such as Ben 10, Harry Potter, Hello Kitty, In the Night Garden, Iron Man, Little Kingdom, Star Wars and Thomas and Friends.
