There’s a new superhero in town, but rather than using his talents to battle baddies and crack crimes, Mr Fruitness is using his superpowers to encourage children across Europe to improve their diets

The hero is the star of ‘Fruitness, Enjoy it!’, a European campaign promoting the positive effects that fruits such as peaches, nectarines and pears can have on a child’s well-being.

Mr Fruitness' quest is to show kids in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Austria and Poland the nutritional advantages of eating healthily, and to warn against the dangers of unbalanced diets.

The project's website contains plenty of helpful ideas and advice, from a range of delicious, healthy recipes to educational tips on which foods to eat and which to avoid.

Mr Fruitness is currently the face of the new ‘Learn and Cut’ smartphone app, a game which educates and entertains children by combining interesting fruit facts with tests of skill, and can be downloaded from the campaign’s website.
