We know that however many books you flick through, for some things only asking a real person will do! The askamum Wednesday Lunch Club is your chance to get advice from brilliant experts tailored specifically to you.

Every Wednesday, from 1pm on our Facebook page, you can chat to an expert who will be online to answer your questions however big or small.

You can even ask a question anonymously, just email us at admin@askamum.co.uk with the subject 'WLC' and we’ll ask it for you!

This week's expert is Birth Doula and Natal Hypnotherapy Practitioner Himalee Rupesinghe.

Himalee is the founder of allaboutbirth.co.uk and one of the team of Natal Hypnotherapy Practitioners now teaching at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. She also teaches birth preparation workshops, and gives one-to-one sessions.

A doula is a woman, trained and experienced in childbirth who provides emotional, physical and informational support to a mother and her partner, before, during and after the birth of their baby.

Himalee says: "I believe that preparation for labour and birth is key, but the RIGHT kind of preparation. We have so many sources to refer to these days, but lots of information isn’t the same as preparation. The right kind of preparation creates real trust and belief that your body knows how to birth your baby, which can transform how you feel about labour and birth."

So join us on our Facebook page this Wednesday and post your question on our wall from 1pm to have it answered by Himalee! To ask a question anonymously, just email us at admin@askamum.co.uk with the subject 'WLC' and we’ll ask it for you!
