Does anyone know someone who has had 5 caesarean sections? We've just found out that we are due another little surprise on xmas day and I'm a bit worried about surgery for the 5th time. The doctor was confident although I'll have to have shared care with the hospital. I'd really love to hear from someone who's been through it!

Hiya, ive not actually been through it but i work in maternity and have been in for many sections. i know that there r higher risks involved with multipal sections as there will be a lot of scar tissue from previous csections which can cause complications usually resulting in the section taking a bit longer than usual period of time to complete. u sud talk thru the risks with ur consultant but try not to worry. i have seen many multipal sections and nothing has gone particularly wrong with any of them. they do take more time and it will usually mean recovery may take longer so make sure u av good support around u and take it easy. i hope this helps a bit but do talk to ur consultant, they sud b able to give u lots of info on what to expect. take care chick x
