I’m due tomorrow (xmas eve) but am not getting any signs that labour may start. This is my second child so I know the drill. My baby is 3/5 engaged and I have had some painful pains as if the baby is pushing on my cervix. Plus babies are meant to be less active before labour but not mine, she never stops moving. Has anyone any ideas on kick starting labour?

I know that you have probably had your baby by now judging by the question date but i thought that i would leave my suggestion as other people do read these and use them as points of reference. My daughter was active all the way through my labour as well as the last few weeks before I was due so I would not really go off that, A really good way to start labour is to have sex. I did that and I had my show the very next day, my contractions strated a few hours after that and I was back on the ward with my baby by tea time the next day. Hope everything went well for you and it would be interesting to read how you got on with the labour and delivery and to see whether you have any new tips to bring labour on to help other mums to be who find themselves in the same situation!

Hi Emma, I've just come accross your question, but looked at the date and am assuming that your little one has now arrived - hope all is well and your experiences were'nt too painful! :)
