I'm 38 wks & had a bloody show. I went to hospital where they said I was 2 cm dilated and, as I was getting contractions, I was in labour. Later they stoped, though I'm still having bad period like pain in my lower stomach & back which gets worse at night. It's been 7 days & nothing's happened. I'm getting sickness on an evening & have been sick, though the baby is moving fine. I just wondered how long this goes on for, as I thought being 2 cm & having tried things to bring on labour, that something would have happened by now.

Hiya, Have you tried bouncing on an exercise ball to try and bring things on? I have had a fairly big lump of clear jelly stuff come out this afternoon and lots of smaller ones when i've been to the toilet. I'm on my 3rd pregnancy and don't know if this is my show? I don't know what to do i can't get hold of my midwife the only other number is the delivery suite. Good luck anyway hope its not too long before your baby makes an appearence!!!

Hia I usually go in to labour the same day as my show, but everyone is different and it can be a week or so!! As this is a sign your cervix is softening you could try sex to bring it on!!! Good Luck Bex

hi there....i feel your frustration!!! could be little while yet, but dont get disheartened....a bloody show means that labour is imminent in the near future! u sound like you are in early labour, i was 3cm dilated for 4 weeks then had 2 be induced at 2 weeks overdue....but didnt have my show untill night b4 induction! it will be soon, cant tell u how soon, but usually within 2 weeks id say, just try the usual, have u had a sweepyet, that usually works wonders!! ellyxxxxx
