Hi is there anyone else out there who's been trying to conceive for a while, but having no luck and has an irregular cycle? Or anyone who's been in this situation and become pregnant? How long did it take you to conceive?

hi i was put on the pill at a young age due to irregular periods this helped me then but when i decide it was the right time to have a child i was warned it could take a while due to the years on it. when i came off the pill my irregular cycle returned and this made it hard to know the right days after 10 months of trying i was told to try an ovultion kit to help. for me this worked im due to give birth any day now so i would to would recomend them they do help.

Hi there It will happen! My partner and I were TTC for 20 months and I had cycles between 29 and 42 days. I was advised by a friend to buy a ovulation thermometer (about £3 on Ebay) last September and fell pregnant the following month. Unfortunately, I lost that baby but I am now between 7 and 9 weeks pregnant - due to go for a dating scan in a couple of days time. The company I bought the thermometer from were excellent and provided detailed info and a chart within the price. Not sure if I'm supposed to give out company names so I'll just say they have loads of fertility products on line including the thermometers and ovulation/pregnancy testiing strips (about 1p each and yes they do work brilliantly) and they have 'fertility' in the shop name. I hope it works for you to as I know how hard the waiting is with irregular periods. Good Luck!

mine are v irrgeular and seem to be getting longer as the months have gone on and my doctor just says it could still be withdrawl after coming off the pill and to give it time, only been trying 4 months but when cycles are irregular it just makes working out certain things a bit more difficult good luck xx
