I stopped taking the pill 5 months ago and since then I have only had one period. I am so desperate to have a baby. I am 29 and it is really putting me down as to how I can conceive without having periods? I am also scared that my husband will leave me as I can't give him a baby. He said he won't but it's just putting pressure on me. Please help.

hi, im new to this website, ive reading what everyone has been saying and they ar all wright, you have absolutely nothing to worry about, i no exacly what your going through, i was on the pill for 5 years and i have been of it for a month now and i trying to concieve, its very difficult playing the waiting game, especially only being of it for a couple of months but it will be well worth it in the end, you will be more prepared when you do and it will probably feel like for the rest of your days you are forever going to be happy because you will be so excited, and if you think of it another way, you have still got a lot of years left before its all over and you can't concieve, i wish you good luck and all the best on trying for your baby Becky Boo x

dont worry it takes months after u come of the pill to get ur fertility back. Even then 5 months is hardly anything when ttc, women tend to be unrealistic when ttc and not giving themselves time and assunming it happens within months but thats rarely the case. You can still conceive without periods though, a common mistake people make when breastfeeding for example, thinking they cant conceive because BF has stopped their periods. i had the same fear when ttc my son, i would often say to my hubby to find some1 else who can give him a child, he did stick with me regardless and after nearly 4 years of ttc i got pregnant and had a son.
