I’m in need of help. I’m trying to conceive after having the depo after baby #1. My last injection was 3 May 07, and up until Jan 08, I had no periods at all. Since Jan, my periods have been all over the place. Some every 2 weeks, others 3 weeks and sometimes a full 28 day cycle. Last month I had a 28 day cycle, so started to think I was getting somewhere. However this month I have come on my period on day 21 of my cycle. How long does it take to get pregnant after depo. It’s been 15 months now and I’m starting to get down.

hi I was on depo for 3 years and came off it 2 years ago. my periods returned to normal after 2 months. Ive been trying to conceive for 1 year with no luck and I wonder if the depo can have longlasting effects. although my doctor said that when your periods return to normal its out of your system. I really dont know...

I to stopped taking the depo last year (April 07) and it took until Nov 07 for me to get any periods back at all till Nov 07, then my husband was made redundant in Dec 07, so being a sensible lass I went on the pill as a little babba was not really a sensible optionas we didnt know when he would get another job. As it was he got a job super quickly so I only took the pill for about a month and a half and only had to wait till Feb 08 for my cyscle to start again. My cycle has been regular but is anything from 22 days to 28 days which is a bit annoying. I can totally understand you feeling down, I too an really starting to gt totally fed up. My husband is optimistic and says that we just need to hang in there and keep trying. He wants this baby as much as me but its hard for me to explain to him the all consuming thoughts that go through my head, I am constantly looking for changes in my body that could be a sign and every month convince myself that this is the month ... and them when my little 'friend' comes along I'm knocked right into touch! Keep your chin up honey, just know that you're not alone. Emma XXXXX
