Book: Follow That StringAuthor: Deborah Brown & Kathy Bacovitch Price: £6.99Publisher: Random HouseReview: It’s not often that a child’s book leaves an adult thinking what the point of it is, but Follow That String seems not to have a point or a purpose. It starts off with a child and his toy finding a parcel and following a piece of string and ends on them finding a smaller book, which simply repeats the goings on of the big book. The key on a piece of string is a nice touch, and the art is sweet combining pictures of a real boy with graphics of his house, but it doesn’t quite make up for the lack of story.

RE: Book review: Follow That String
I disagree with this book review. I purchased a copy last week for my two year old niece and she loves it! The illustrations are lovely and the fact that the little book at the back repeats the story works really well for the very young who love repetition (think Balamory). I would recommend this book for 1-3 year olds and intend to buy another copy for my friend's son's first birthday.
